Welcome to the Homepage of Rothmans Racing

Rothmans Racing was founded by Scott Beck in 1996. From his small hometown of Sunland California he formed a team that would go on to last for 16 years, and is still going strong heading into the 2012 season. Rothmans started out using the PC racing sim named GP2. Using today’s standards, GP2 was just the bare basics. But at the time it was like nothing we’d ever seen before.

Rothmans Racing in 2012 will compete in 3 different leagues. These are Formula SimRacing in the World Trophy on Saturdays. The WRL that races on Sundays and the new Rothmans Club Racing Series that races on Saturdays at 20:00GMT.

We have drivers from all over the World who come here to enjoy Racing and being part of a close knit team.

Rothmans Club Racing 17/05/2012

Due to falling numbers of drivers competing in the Rothmans Club races, the Club has cancelled the current season.

With only 4 or 5 regular drivers competing it has been decided that until either numbers interested increase or another format of game (iracing or rfactor 2) attracts

The numbers to restart the Rothmans Club racing.

Please continue to watch for further up-dates.

Thanks to all drivers who have competed in the last few seasons of Rothmans Club racing.

FSR World Trophy (racetime: Saturday 14:00 GMT)
The entry level category of FSR for new, unexperienced drivers. Nevertheless with a good level of competition. Entries are unlimited, but only the 26 fastest get to race (which will be determined in a Pre Qualifying Session before each race).
Tractioncontrol, Anti-Lock-Brakes and Auto Clutch are allowed, but Tractioncontrol and Anti-Lock-Brakes come with a small weight penalty.

Rothmans Club Races

Held on Saturdays

Practice start time: 20:00GMT = 12noon PST

Qualification start time: 20:15GMT

Warm-up start time: 20:25GMT

Race start time: 20:30GMT

World Racing League

The qualifying will start 13:00 league time. It will contain two parts if we are more than 12 people, and there will be only one segment if we are less. The sessions will be like this:

Q1: 15minutes low fuel running without parc ferme. Top 10 continue to Q2.

Q2: 10minutes low fuel running with parc ferme. Tires from Q2 have to be used in race during first stint, fuel load can be adjusted after Q2.

After the qualifying there will be 10min of warmup in order to get used to the high fuel load again.

5.3 The race will start at approximately 14:00 league time. It will have 50% of the real F1 length or end after 60minutes.
